My name is Kourtany Katzen, and welcome to my online portfolio!​ I am an art director and graphic designer based in Chicago, IL. I've been working in advertising since I graduated from the University of Iowa in spring of 2022, and couldn't love my career choice more. Creative expression has always been an essential component of every project I work on, and being able to channel that into my career is fulfilling in ways I had always only hoped for. Since starting at Schafer Condon Carter, I have worked on a plethora of projects, ranging from immersive brand activations, to TV spots, to designing B2B campaigns, to production for everything in between. I see every project as an opportunity to make work that's extraordinary, and even the smallest ideas can manifest into something incredible. 

When I'm not working on the next great advertisements to grace the television screens and highways of our world (whether they be virtual or concrete), I usually find myself exploring other forms of craft. Whether that be in the kitchen, at the pottery wheel, or simply on a pad of paper, I love to create. I always find myself trying out new hobbies and exploring new ways to share a little something lovely with the world. The world around us is full of inspiration, whether it be art made by other people or nature itself, and I love getting to experience the many forms that it manifests in.
